Worth Saving

The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the Nation's historic places worth of preservation. Authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the National Register of Historic Places is part of a national program to coordinate and support public and private efforts to identify, evaluate, and protect America's historic and archeological resources. Inclusion on the National Register allows the Elk County Preservation Society to receive help obtaining preservation benefits and incentives.

Feedback Needed. We are considering doing a Christmas Home Tour as a fundraiser for the Bank Building. Are there any local residents that would like to decorate their home and share with others. We would ask that each home provide some type of finger food. (It can be nothing more than a bowl of M&M's or Snack Mix)We would love to have 5-6 homes in order to make it worthwhile. If you are interested in opening your home and sharing your holiday spirit with others, please let us know. You can comment on this post or call us at: Marcia Taylor (620)330-7721 or Debbie Roebuck (620)779-1824 ...

We would like to extend a HUGE "Thank You" to everyone who came out yesterday to support our Fundraiser/Auction. A special shout out to the group that suffered through the oppressive Kansas heat and shot Sporting Clays. We had 50+ enjoy the Flint Oak Grand Buffet. (If you have not experienced it, you need to put it on your bucket list). With full tummies we all waddled to the Mallard Room and experienced the great support of our generous community and friends for an awesome Auction. We were all so busy I don't think anyone got pictures but I assure you it was a great day ! Thank you! ...
